Baby Martin~ 25 Weeks

Santa shirt from SASEA, jeans from OLD NAVY and boots from Kohls last season SIMILAR

Baby Martin is the size of a head of cauliflower or an acorn squash.

Gender: Baby Girl
Name: Sawyer Rae
Due Date: March 29, 2015
Weight Gain:20 lbs
Heartbeat: 140's
Movement: YES tons. She is moving around like crazy. I didn't feel her until 24 weeks, but ever since then she moves at night time and after I eat.
Nausea/Vomiting: Yes, I still get nauseous and actually vomited this morning. :(
Stretch Marks: None so far, but I use the heck out of my coconut oil.
How I am feeling: I am feeling good for the most part. A little tired, nauseous on occasion and just this last week I really started to feel pregnant, as far as a belly goes.
Sleep: I sleep great, with the exception of at least two potty breaks in the middle of the night. Half of the time we fall asleep forgetting to move the elf, so I catch myself roaming the house at 1:30 a.m. trying to find a new semi creative spot for him.
Food: I crave anything peppermint. Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Peppermint Milkshakes, Candy Cane Cookies, anything with peppermint and I am there. I am also still craving the BJ's Thai Mango Chicken Salad, I get that like once a week.
Baby Items: My sister-in-law just loaded us up with more baby girl clothes. She has TONS already. We got the nursery painted and her crib set up two weeks ago, installed curtains this past weekend and I spray painted her chandelier. I still need to add crystals or pearls to it and then we will install it on a dimmer switch. Anyone know how to replace a double switch to a single???

Christmas is 7 days away!!!!!! This pregnancy is flying. I can't wait to see our baby girl.

Our Thanksgiving and the return of our Elf!

This was our first Thanksgiving in a long time that we traveled and didn't have to host at our house. We went to El Maton, Texas to visit family and stayed from Wednesday to Sunday morning. That's a long time to be away from home when you are pregnant. We had a blast and we were one with the Country.

On Friday night we put up the Christmas tree and did our annual gift exchange. Our family is growing so big that we now have to just bring one gift and everybody picks in the form of a game called White Elephant. It is really fun to do, because you can steal from people! We started this tradition 3 or 4 years ago.

Myself, my sister and our sister in law.
My handsome bub and his beautiful wife.
On Thanksgiving Day all of their family came and I mean ALL of them. There were probably somewhere around 50+ plus people there!
There was a lot of shooting of skeet and four wheeler riding and Christmas movies for me.
Who knew this kid would be so good in the Country. We didn't hear an "I am bored" one time in five days. No video games either! Wooohoo

And this morning Jake returned with a North Pole breakfast! He brought pancake mix, hot chocolate, marshmallows, candy canes and a letter to Trey. Trey loved it!

The Ever Growing Baby Bump

This baby is growing and still making mommy sick. Who would have known I would be 22 weeks and still nauseous and vomiting. Oh well, it is so worth it for this little baby girl. We worked on her nursery this weekend and got as far as paint, putting together the crib and organizing the closet. Feels good to have that room cleaned out! Here is a little weekly update for those of you interested in the ever growing baby bump!

Nursery Ideas

Now that we know we are going to have a sweet little girl, the fun begins. Shopping, decorating the nursery and more shopping! Girls are so fun and the clothes out there is too precious!

My idea for the nursery is going to be very elegant, classy, vintage and a tiny bit of sparkle. I want to do lots of whites, soft pink, mint and gold with gray walls. This weekend we are going to start painting her room with the perfect gray. Benjamin Moore's Rodeo, like the room below.

You can check out the below two pictures HERE, the third HERE, fourth HERE, fifth HERE and sixth HERE.

Our Gender Reveal Dinner

On Monday morning, November 10, 2014, we had our ultrasound that would reveal the gender of sweet Baby Martin. The appointment was at 9:00 a.m. and we planned on having dinner that night at a local seafood restaurant with our family to find out. The same seafood restaurant that Mike proposed to me at and where our rehearsal dinner was at. It is kind of our place. We wanted something more than just opening the envelope and saying it was a girl or boy, so we decided to have a cake reveal. It was easy and we knew our family would catch our reactions on film. Immediately after our appointment we drove over to HEB to drop off the envelope and to have them prepare a small cake with either pink or blue filling inside. We had to get that envelope out of our hands before peaking ensued. The day drug on with anticipation and just wanting to know what we were having. We both came to the conclusion that it was probably a boy, because we both wanted a girl so bad. We would be happy with a boy or girl, as long as it was healthy. We got to dinner that night at 6:00 p.m. and didn't begin ordering our food until after 6:30 and having that cake right there was just too much, so we cut the cake before dinner. You can check out our reactions HERE. I am so glad we did it this way and we now have a video to remember that day for the rest of our lives. We can't wait to welcome this sweet little girl to this big ole world!

BIG Secret

We have been keeping a really big secret that has caused me to NOT blog at all. I haven't blogged because a) I am tired, b) I am nauseous, c) I am throwing up, d) I am not productive at home and e) work, football practice/games, and life makes me too tired to blog. Soooo..... why am I so tired and lazy????

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!!

This bun in my oven is taking ALOT out of me. Like everything. I never knew it was possible to be sooo tired. I can hardly keep my eyes open through work and get scared that I will "doze" off on my way home for lunch. It is seriously an exhaustion that should not exist. Ever. But we are so excited and blessed to finally be expecting a baby. We have been trying for over a year and a half and it hasn't been easy for us. All I know is God answers prayers and does so with perfect timing. Through this experience I have been reassured to never question the Good Lord as he has the most amazing plan for you.

We are due March 28-29, which is between 4-5 days after our Wedding Anniversary, so we might be having an anniversary baby. :) I just cannot wait to meet this pumpkin.

So far the top five things I cannot live without during this pregnancy are:
  • Coconut Oil for my belly, chest and thighs. I have heard lots of great things about using coconut oil for stretch marks and so far I don't have a single one. I am only 12 weeks, so I will keep you guys updated.

  • Yoga pants or capris. The most comfortable thing for this growing belly.

  • TUMS- This heartburn is INSANE

  • Bean and cheese tacos. I could eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner. Nothing ever sounds good to me, so when all else fails I just grab a taco.

  • Gummy over the counter prenatals. This is the only kind I can keep down.
